From 3D Scanning to the model: A 3D-printed head from the reality
The 3D-Scan
To digitize a complex Geometry like a bust, it would be without the 3D Scan is almost impossible. With the 3D Scan, it will take only minutes. The digitised objects are easy to 3D print.
The Scan was performed with a Creality Raptor. Critical uniform illumination and calm attitude was to clean Mesh with no artifacts to receive.
After the scanning, I cleaned the model in mesh mixer, mirrored, and, where appropriate, the holes closed. The Form was as waterproof STL model exported.
3D printing
Printed the model on a Voron 2.4 with PLA Filament.
Especially the fine facial features, eyes and hair structure show how detailed the 3D Scan can be resolved data, provided you have the correct print orientation and sufficient support structures observed.
